Blown in by a desert wind, these men from the Sahara are ready to enthral and amaze you.

Following their sell out show in April, with their new album ‘Alone’, now out in the world, we welcome seminal Desert Blues masters Terakaft back to Rich Mix for another rare UK performance.

Comprised of two original members of Tinariwen, their sound is perhaps a more intense, purposeful slant on the desert-rock sound, creating an atmosphere symbolic of their lives and the journeys made. Their new album ‘Alone’, produced by Justin Adams, has a rockier sound and an angrier tone, fuelled by bloody events in northern Mali.

Formed in 2001 and hailing from Kidal, Mali, Terakaft are a genuine Tuareg desert rock band sculpted by the desert, weathered, dusty and relentless. Through pulsating guitars rhythms and powerful, mournful vocals.

Terakaft means ‘Caravan’ and these captivating nomads tread the earth never settling in one place for too long. Catch them while you can!
