Over 1 million people, from all walks of life take to the streets of Notting Hill, every August Bank Holiday weekend to celebrate fresh food, flamboyant costumes, sound systems, a variety of cultures and more.Sadly, in recent years, the media has focused on the few negatives of the event rather than the overwhelming positives and we want to play our part in celebrating what's great about Carnival; the coming together of different cultures and musical sounds to get down on the final weekend of August every year. So, with great honour we present The Carnival Session. A celebration of Notting Hil Carnival featuring pioneers of drum and bass and dubstep respectively LTJ Bukem DJ and DEEP MEDi boss Mala, the sounds of Africa delivered through Awesome Tapes From Africa's cassette player and Afriquoi's DJ & Percussion show which brings together house, soca, hiphop, soul and jungle. One of the finest hosts in the game SP:MC will host LTJ Bukem's set, whilst Labyrinth resident Nick Castle and Dropout Disco will play supporting sets in the main room.Over in Room 2, community-driven underground music platform Keep Hush will be running things. Having grown from throwing secret parties in Oxford to hosting and live streaming some of the biggest names in the UK grime and bass scene, Keep Hush have found their own, original path in one of the most competitive scenes on the globe. Founders Fred CC and Freddy Masters will take to decks in Room 2, with Scar Duggy and more TBA as their invited guests. It's truly a privilege to be able to celebrate this festival with the likes of Mala and LTJ Bukem and we can't to throw a proper Notting Hill Carnival party with 1,200 of you on Sunday 26th August.Tickets for this will fly for this event, make sure you're one of the lucky ones that's with us: https://bit.ly/2JNVVL5
