A collection of rogues and misfits from the Birmingham Conservatoire, conceived in 2006 at the legendary Balkan Basement jam sessions in Moseley. The Destroyers quickly burst free from the confines of the 'Balkan Brass' genre and emerged as an anarchic orchestra of blazing passion and breathtaking originality. Fronted by songwriter/beat-poet Paul Murphy they tell modern tales of acute relevance - tales of love, death, humour, chaos and catastrophe.
And so, out of the inane cavalcade of Balkan Gypsy sound-alikes comes a blow-your-mind original... Minimum pretence and maximum style: Out Of Babel is a sophisticated tour de force. Lemez Lovas | Songlines
