Cretan music is wild and unpredictable. Quite a different thing to the disciplined bouzouki music of the Greek mainland. Endless melodies, one after the other in stomping rhythms, sometimes monotonous and archaic, sometimes almost ecstatic. The oriental influence cannot be missed.

You only have to imagine the beautiful, chaotic embellished deep traditional sounds of El Khandak combined with an intimate evening coated in an oriental atmosphere to jump on that tube to Jamboree.
