Direct from Mali Trio da Kali bring their much acclaimed take on the new generation of griot soul to the UK for the first time.

The three piece are steeped in a personal and musical heritage which they refresh and rejuvenate in a beguiling and exhilirating fashion. Their performance revolves around the soaring voice of Hawa Kasse Mady, daughter of African vocal legend Kasse Mady Diabate, and the throb of the bass ngoni supplied by Mamadou Kouyate (son of Bassekou Kouyate). The trio are led by Lassana Diabate widely regarded as Mali's No 1 balafon player.
Having initially collaborated with The Kronos Quartet and Toumani Diabate Trio Da Kali's first UK tour co-incides with the release of their inaugaral ep on World Circuit Records.
