It's Christmas.. time to ditch those cold and lonely London pavements and head for a warmer, spicier climate – found on 7th December at the New Empowering Church, London Fields, Hackney.

Mardi Gras Mambo presents "Voodoo Christmas" - a true slice of authentic funky New Orleans in this tropical warehouse playground, complete with giant light-up palm trees, gumbo and festive good times.

Live on stage The Dale Storr New Orleans Big Band! Led by sparkling piano virtuoso Dale Storr, playing rocking sets late into the night, interspersed with the deepest cuts of RnB, funk, brass bands and hot jazz from the legendary Crescent City- Ronnie Scott's star DJ Lil' Koko keeping the dance floor full of shaking limbs and sashaying hips.

Throughout the night King JJ can be found dishing up some of the finest gumbo to be tasted in this country, with it's spicy aromas filling the venue. Fuel up too on cornbread and sweet pralines. A proper New Orleans Voodoo Christmas...
