Ces anciens, nourris au bon grain des sounds systems, de la culture vinyle et bercés par les dialogues épiques du cinéma d’antan, nous concoctent une fine fusion de Reggae et Hip Hop. Ce collectif de beatmakers aiment exploiter les samples, le tout saupoudré de scratchs et d’une french touch vintage qui nous fait voyager depuis la France vers Kingston, Londres et New York! Ils ont acquis leur renommée grâce à des morceaux comme « Dreader Than Dread » ft Skarra Mucci ou « Back In Town » ft Jamalski mais aussi grâce à de nombreux remixes comme « Burn Dem Down » de Capleton. Après la sortie d’une mixtape, d’un Summermix et d’un EP « Back In Town », ils produisent en 2015 leur premier album « Chickens in Your Town » : savant mélange des genres allant du Hip Hop au Reggae avec des featurings tels que Gavlyn, Ruffian Rugged ou encore Youthstar. En septembre 2017 sort leur album "Le Savoir Faire", un projet peaufiné dans le plus grand secret, avec des collaborations pointues (Panda Dub, Kill Emil, The Architect…) et de nombreux featurings (Biga*Ranx, Marina P, Demolition Man, Tippa Irie, Soom T, Rodney P…). 🇬🇧 Breeding in open air since 1964, Sir Johnny and King James are the figureheads of the mysterious L’ENTOURLOOP collective. Je vais me permettre de commencer par une petite anecdote car elle résume à mon sens à merveille l’importance de la musique dans la vie, dans la voix, dans le coeur de Sofiane Saidi. L’année dernière, tout juste un an après les attentats du Bataclan, Nova revenait faire une Nuit Zébrée dans cette salle dont nous sommes si proches. Je vous avoue que j’étais quelque peu hésitant sur le choix de l’artiste qui allait monter sur scène en premier, inaugurer la soirée Et puis comme un flash, un instinct, comme un symbole aussi, je proposai à Sofiane Saidi d’ouvrir la nuit. A peine eus je le temps de finir ma question, ma proposition, et croyez moi c’était très mal payée, que Sofiane répondit par un grand oui. Un oui à la vie, Un oui à l’amour, mais un oui surtout à la musique pour fêter les âmes, panser les plaies. Sofiane Saidi c’est tout ça. Un chanteur au plus profond de son âme, de ses tripes, un chanteur qui commence à Sidi Bel Abbès gamin dans des mariages, le même chanteur qui du fuir le berceau du Rai pour échapper aux extrémistes, à ceux pour qui le rai ne pouvait être si libre. Depuis vous avez pu croisé la route de Sofiane Saidi un peu partout, du coté de Brest,  dans l’Egypte féerique de Natacha Atlas, dans les clubs branchés avec Acid Arab et bien évidemment dans les cabarets orientaux enfumés de Pigalle et d’ailleurs. Un voyageur qui se laisse aller là où la rencontre sera sincère, folle, inattendu, et c’est au coté de Mazalda, un combo lyonnais au groove cosmique que Sofiane est de retour avec cet album intitulé El Ndjoum « Les Etoiles » pour emmener le rai encore un peu plus loin…. En concert le 5 avril à Banlieues Bleues. Le 6 avril au Bizarre à Venissieux.
