Safe & Sounds: Safe & Sounds #74 – Sunshine in Isolation by Beulah Heights

Beulah Heights Profile Pic

This Corona stuff really sucks ey! Since we might all be bound by borders for a while, we’d like to come together and share some happiness in the shape of a playlist or mix!

In the next days and weeks, check out Safe & Sounds, where we will figuratively introduce you to and put you in touch with music whizzes, featuring their selections, collections and picks from all around the globe.

Be “Safe & Sounds” and wash your hands!

This compilation is stuffed full of tunes that make me smile, music is a constant for me throughout the ups and downs of this lockdown – and what a moment to really listen and listen again to old favourites and new finds. This mixtape includes some of my favourite funk, disco, latin jazz and reggae beats from around the globe.

Beulah Heights is the DJing outfit from London-based Rosie Bright.  During the day she works in historic building conservation but revels in her nighttime passion of DJing, coming home to the music.  Beulah Heights is a lover all of all things groove and soul. Electronic music makes up a big part of her record collection.  She says, “a house beat always gets me dancing as much as a funky bass line will always make my ears prick up!”. She’s spending her lockdown fine tuning her skills on the decks and making compilations for others to hear.
