Lewis Robinson

This Corona stuff really sucks ey! Since we might all be bound by borders for a while, we’d like to come together and share some happiness in the shape of a playlist or mix!

In the next days and weeks, check out Safe & Sounds, where we will figuratively introduce you to and put you in touch with music whizzes, featuring their selections, collections and picks from all around the globe.

Be “Safe & Sounds” and wash your hands!

(Lewis Robinson – Mais Um Discos)

Lewis Robinson is the founder of Mais Um Discos, a London-based independent record label established in 2010 that specialises in releasing contemporary Brazilian music and has worked with Elza Soares, Dona Onete, Lucas Santtana, Metá Metá, Bixiga 70, Orquestra Imperial and Rodrigo Amarante amongst others.

The label has received coverage in newspapers such as the Guardian, New York Times, Los Angeles Times and Le Monde as well as support from various BBC radio DJs such as Gilles Peterson, Cerys Matthews and Late Junction‘s Max Reinhardt who said that Mais Um Discos has “changed the whole perception of what Brazilian music is in the UK”.
