Desde los 1600 estas aguas han sido testigo tanto de los acuerdos entre Mapuche y Chilenos, como de las incansables violaciones a estos mismos por parte del Estado. Hoy en 2018 las FFAA y Carabineros de Chile continúan desalojando comunidades enteras y asesinando líderes políticos y espirituales. ¿Hasta cuando se defenderá con tanta violencia intereses de pocos, que nos quitan tanto? Con la progresiva aniquilación de la cultura Mapuche muere también la idea de un nuevo humano, un humano libre, que construye una sociedad basada en la comunidad y en el conocimiento de la tierra y su sabiduría.
