Our albums of the month start with Brussels vocal folk trio Las Lloronas (Muziekpublique) followed by high atlas Amazigh folk of Groupe Lhssan Bouri (DoItYoussef) and the Azerbaijani guitarist Rustam Quliyev (Bongo Joe) and female activist songs by Iranian-Israeli singer Liraz (Glitterbeat).
We go into tropical spheres with a compilation of swinging Latin biguine from Guadeloupe (Atangana), guitar funk & champeta by Colombian-Cameroonian band Nkumba System (Prado Records) and Venezuelan hybrid funk by Raul Monsalve y Los Forajidos (Olindo).
Turning down to Africa with afro bass by Max Le Daron and many guests (Akwaaba), the afro diaspora compilation Nyamakala Beat #2 (Blanc Manioc) and the birth of the Kebrada label of Dengue Dengue Dengue with the Discos en 3 Quarto compilations.
